Asia Cup Cricket Final

Sunday, 6th of march 2016. Benformoso Street, a multicultural place at the heart of Lisbon, stopped for a couple of hours that evening. It was the Asia Cup cricket final between India and Bangladesh, two of the most common nationalities living at Mouraria neighborhood. The immigrant community living around came out to the street, got together in coffee shops and restaurants searching for a television to watch the match - no matter if they stayed outside, the important thing was to watch the game anyway. Some people used their phones, other their computers. There were applauses, shouts and happiness – from both teams’ fans, together in the same space. The match was tough, but India ended up winning Bangladesh.
